What is living soil?
Soil that feeds your plant
Living soil is a growing medium full of active soil life – bacteria, fungi and other organisms. They break down organic matter and make nutrients available to the roots, step by step, as the plant grows.
In a classic mineral setup you dissolve nutrients in water and feed the plant directly, week after week. In living soil, the biology does that work. You keep the soil moist – the soil food web does the rest.

How we calculate
Pot size 11 L per plant. Monster Soil Pot €29.95, 3-Plant Set €84.95, Monster Soil Concentrate 50 L €89.95 (makes 100 L mixed with 50 L organic potting soil at about €14.90). After each harvest, used soil is refreshed with 3–4 L Concentrate per 10 L (we use 3.5 L). Mineral example: Canna Terra starter kit €52.90 (gogrow.de), Bluelab pH Pen €99.00 (growend.de), potting soil 50 L €14.90 – market prices checked October 2026. Assumptions: one starter kit per grow and fresh potting soil each grow. Shipping, water, light and electricity are not included. Prices can vary per shop.

How it works
Monster Soil Pot
- Open – remove the lid. It doubles as a saucer.
- Plant – put a young plant or pre-germinated seedling straight into the soil. Sensitive seedlings get a small buffer zone of about 0.3 L light soil.
- Water – keep the soil evenly moist with chlorine-free water (rainwater or tap water that has stood for 24 hours). No pH adjustment, no extra fertiliser.
Monster Soil Concentrate
- Mix 1:1 – 50 L Monster Soil Concentrate + 50 L organic soil = 100 L ready-to-use living soil.
- Fill & plant – use at least 11 L per plant. Pre-grow seedlings in grow plugs and plant them in a small buffer zone of about 0.5 L light soil.
- Water – chlorine-free water only, evenly, without waterlogging. No pH adjustment needed.
The soil food web
The living part of Monster Soil
Every bag and every pot of Monster Soil is enriched with beneficial microorganisms. Together they form the soil food web around the roots.
Mycorrhiza
Fungi that partner with the roots. Their network reaches further into the soil than the roots alone and helps the plant take up water and nutrients – in return the plant feeds the fungi with sugars.
Trichoderma
Fungi that live in the root zone and help break down organic matter, releasing nutrients back into the soil. Widely used in horticulture as beneficial organisms.
Worm castings & organic matter
Worm castings, peat, sphagnum and coconut fibre give the soil life food and structure – and keep the soil airy and moisture-retaining.
Our story
Born from more than ten years of growing
Monster Soil was developed over more than ten years by a master grower and seedbank owner from the Barcelona region – originally to bring out the best in his own organic genetics. Supreme turned that recipe into a ready-to-use concentrate and a pre-filled pot, so every home grower can work with it.
The result: a living soil that supports a plant through its full cycle in an 11 L pot – with nothing more than water and light.
After the harvest: refresh, don’t replace
Living soil can be used again. Loosen the used soil and mix in 3–4 L of Monster Soil Concentrate for every 10 L of used soil – and you are ready for the next grow.
What’s inside
A base of raised bog peat and sphagnum, worm castings, coconut fibre and perlite, balanced with lime and pre-fertilised with an organic-mineral slow-release fertiliser.
Added soil life: mycorrhiza, Trichoderma spp. and other beneficial fungi.
